Dr. Thorsen graduated Cum Laude from the University of Western States and has a bachelor degree in nutrition from Oregon State University. He has been in practice in Southern Oregon since 1996. His areas of focus include sport injury rehabilitation, general chiropractic care, nutritional counseling and wellness care. Dr. Thorsen utilizes a well-researched approach to patient care. He assesses and treats the underlying cause of a patients problem to restore health and improve function.

In addition to treating traditional chiropractic conditions, Dr. Thorsen has experience working with many different musculoskeletal conditions, including degenerative disk disease, arthritis, disk herniations, strains and sprains, bursitis, tendonitis, headaches, TMJ, plantar fascitis, and shoulder, knee and hip problems.
In 2000, Dr. Thorsen took over Dr. Jeffrey Spencer's practice at club northwest in Grants Pass. Dr. Spencer was the official chiropractor to Lance Armstrong and the US Postal Service/Discovery cycling teams. They had a three month transition period where the two worked together with Dr. Spencer's patients.
